I was
born in Offenburg Germany in 1950; it is situated on the foothills
of the Black Forrest.
This is where I grew up and studied window dressing for 3
years
In 1972 together with my husband I emigrated to Australia where I
continued freelance window dressing in Adelaide.
Having always had a love for art I studied pottery at Tafe College
in the eighties.
In 1992 we moved to Port Lincoln on the beautiful Eyre
Peninsula in South Australia where we owned the First Landing Motel
for 10 years as well as Abeona Cottage B&B which we still own
today. In the little spare time there was; I experimented with
watercolour.
After selling the motel in 2002 pottery, painting, drawing,
looking after our guests in Abeona Cottage, going to Martin Van
Rooijen's drawing classes and voluntary work etc... fill my days. I
am also very keen on fishing but there seems to be less and less
time for it.
I love animals especially for example the sleepy lizards who are
my gardening companions, so it is very natural to sink my hands
into the clay and create these critters. Hand building these unique
creatures are a lot of fun.
Drawing and painting are a natural extension to my pottery work
and they compliment each other. I have been busy getting ready for
a solo exhibition last year. The exhibt

ion was held in
October if you would like to have a look at a slideshow of
the opening night click
here. There are 62 photos it may take a bit to load
depending on your internet speed.
Most of my work is available directly from me or you can find some
of my pieces at the Gallery Shop on Tasman Terrace.
Browse through the next few page to have a look at my work, some
pieces are sold others were commission work and all priced work is
available to purchase
My hope is for you to share the fun I have, make you laugh a
little or even pause for a while, that would give me great
joy.
